Aloha,

I’d like to be your State Representative. Today, we face many challenges, with proposals for development up and down the Windward side, increasing traffic, and a rising cost of living. But with challenges come opportunities. Together, we can voice our concerns, find common ground, and implement new solutions.

My work and life experience have given me the tools needed to tackle the issues in our district. As a Deputy Attorney General, I worked with state agencies and the business community, helped protect our drinking water, streams, and ocean, and drafted rules and regulations. As a Legal Aid lawyer, I helped renters fight illegal evictions, prevented consumer fraud, and protected workers from unscrupulous creditors. As a volunteer with AARP, the O'ahu Land Trust, and others, I have worked with a cross-section of our community to find solutions to land use and transportation problems. And as a mother, I will always work hard for the best interests of our families.

Together, we can:

• promote local business and agriculture,
• reduce traffic without paving over paradise,
• help families in need,
• implement community plans,
• protect public beach access,
• keep the Windward side country, and
• support affordable housing, not more luxury developments.
